We cannot believe it's nearly time to dust off the xmas jumpers and don our Santa hats again - we're still recovering from the 2016 Christmas show(s) - never mind the Summer Showcase!
But to tell the truth, everyone here at VSOM HQ is pretty excited. Because...
This year we have a bigger boat!
That's right folks, for the first time ever we will be holding our Christmas Concert at the 330 capacity Eastwood Park Theatre in Giffnock.
As always you can expect festive - and not so festive - musical treats from the students, tutors, and staff of the Village School of Music - aided and abetted by the Village Music staff. PLUS we'll have the raffle with plenty of prises, the fastest drummer competition, the VSOM Musician of the year award ceremony - and Jamie's terrible dad jokes.
Tickets this year will be £8 and are available NOW from the VSOM reception, or the Eastwood Park Theatre Box-Office, commemorative programmes will be £3.50, and EVERY SINGLE PENNY raised will be donated directly to our favourite cause - Neuroblastoma UK - helping fight childhood cancer.
However, there is a downside. Unfortunately this means we must bid a sad farewell to the Strathaven Town Mill Theatre. It's been our festive home for the last two years and three shows - and what a cosy wee home too - but we could sell out 3, maybe even 4 nights; the thought of trying to put on two nights (or more) makes our heads spin.
So we would like to give a massive THANK YOU the Mill's for their support over the years.
Here's a wee youtube clip to remember how good Christmas was at The Mill :.(
